Terms of Service
Edition — · These terms are between you and the operator (“we”, “us”), who operates Wildeck.
1. Agreeing to these terms
You accept these terms when you create a Wildeck account, and again whenever we publish a new edition of them. If you do not accept them, you cannot use the service. We will tell you before a new edition takes effect, on this website and in the game, and ask you to accept it before you play on.
You must be at least 16 years old to hold an account, or the minimum age of digital consent in your country if that is higher. If you are under 18, you may only make purchases with the permission of whoever is responsible for you.
2. Your account
One person, one account. Keep your password to yourself; you are responsible for what is done with your account, and we will treat anyone signed in as you. Tell us at once if you think somebody else has got in.
You may close your account at any time from your account page. Asking to close it signs you out everywhere and starts a seven-day wait, during which signing back in cancels the whole thing. After that the account is deleted as described in the Privacy Policy, and any gold, wild tokens, cards and cosmetics on it are forfeited. Once the seven days are up, that cannot be undone.
3. What you are buying
Wildeck is free to play. Wild tokens are an in-game currency you may buy with real money. Everything else in the game (gold, cards, boosters, decks, cosmetics) is earned by playing and is never sold for money.
You are buying a licence, not property. Wild tokens and everything they unlock are a limited, personal, non-transferable licence to use them inside Wildeck. They have no cash value, cannot be sold, traded or transferred to another account, and cannot be exchanged for money. Nothing in the game is a security, an investment or an asset you own.
Boosters are opened with gold, which is earned by playing and cannot be bought. Their contents are random, and the chance of pulling each grade of card is published in the game itself: on the confirmation shown before any pack is opened, and at any time by right-clicking a pack in the Market. Those figures are generated from the same data the game server rolls against, so they cannot drift from what the game actually does.
4. Payments, refunds and your right to withdraw
Payments are handled by our payment provider. We never see or store your card details. Prices shown at checkout include any taxes we are required to collect.
Wild tokens are delivered immediately. If you are a consumer in the EU, the UK or another country with a statutory cooling-off period, you have a 14-day right to withdraw from a purchase of digital content. That right ends once delivery begins with your express consent, which is what you give at checkout.
Our own policy is simpler and at least as generous: unspent wild tokens are refunded on request within 14 days of the purchase. That is the outside limit. After 14 days, or once the tokens have been spent, we are no longer able to refund them, because what they bought has already been delivered into your account.
To ask for a refund, write to support within those 14 days, from the email address on your account, saying roughly when you bought. We answer every refund request. Where the law gives you a refund you get it regardless of the above, and where a purchase went wrong on our side we will put it right whenever you tell us. Refunds go back to the payment method you used, and the tokens are removed from your account.
Chargebacks filed without contacting us first will usually result in the account being suspended until the matter is settled. Please write to us instead; it is faster for both of us.
5. How to behave
Do not, in the game, in chat, or in your choice of name:
- harass, threaten, bully or sexually harass another player;
- post hateful content aimed at anyone's race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, disability, sex, gender identity or sexual orientation;
- share sexual content involving minors, or any other illegal material. This is reported to the authorities, always;
- cheat, exploit bugs, automate play, or interfere with other players' games;
- buy, sell or trade accounts, or share one account between people;
- attack, overload or reverse-engineer the service, or try to reach parts of it that are not yours;
- impersonate another player, or us.
Every player can mute or block another from the friends panel, and report them for any of the above. Reports go to a human. Blocking is the stronger tool: it ends the friendship and refuses every message, duel invite and friend request between the two accounts in both directions.
6. Moderation and suspension
Where we find a breach of section 5 we may remove content, restrict chat, suspend the account or close it. We aim for the smallest action that fixes the problem, and we act on evidence rather than on the number of reports an account has collected.
If your account is suspended or closed for a breach, we will tell you what rule was broken. You can appeal by writing to support, and a different person will look at it. Where we close an account for a serious breach, any balances on it are forfeited.
7. The service changes
Wildeck is a live game. Cards get rebalanced, modes come and go, and the odds on a pack can be retuned. The published rates always describe the version running now. We may change or withdraw features, and we will give reasonable notice of changes that materially reduce what you have already paid for.
If we ever shut the game down for good, we will give at least 30 days' notice on this website, stop selling wild tokens immediately, and refund unspent tokens bought within the previous 90 days.
8. Our content, and yours
The game, its art, cards, text, sounds and code belong to us or to our licensors. You get a personal, revocable licence to play it, and nothing more.
You keep whatever you write: your account name, your deck names, your chat. You give us the right to store and display it inside the service so the game can work.
Streaming, recording and making videos of your own play is welcome, including monetised ones.
9. Liability
The service is provided as it is. We do not promise it will be uninterrupted or bug-free. To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you for anything connected with Wildeck is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law. If you are a consumer, your statutory rights are unaffected by these terms.
10. Ending the agreement
You may stop at any time by deleting your account. We may end it by closing your account for a breach of section 5, or by giving you 30 days' notice if we stop offering the service. Sections 3 (no cash value), 8 (ownership) and 9 (liability) survive the end of the agreement.
11. Law, disputes and changes to these terms
These terms are governed by the law of the place where we are established, and if you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory law of the country you live in and may bring a claim in your own courts.
EU consumers can also use the European Commission's online dispute resolution platform, though we would much rather you wrote to us first.
We will post a new edition here when these terms change, bump the edition stamp at the top, and ask you to accept it before you play on. Continuing to use the service after accepting a new edition means the new edition applies.
12. Contact
The operator: support. We answer everything, including the difficult ones.
